It has been announced that the manga "Mao no Musume wa Yasashi Sugiru!!" by Yuya Sakamoto, which is currently being serialized in "Young Animal Web" (Hakusensha), will be adapted into a TV anime and will be broadcast in 2026. It will be directed by Masahiko Ohta and produced by EMT Squared. Misaki Kuno will play the Demon Lord's precious only daughter Dou, Ayaka Ohashi will play the Demon Lord's excellent aide Jahi, and Akio Otsuka will play Ahriman, the strongest demon lord in the demon world.
The story is a "heartwarming comedy set in another world" about a kind-hearted girl named Dou, who is the daughter of a demon king who is feared for her cruelty and ruthlessness, but in a world where evil is considered the right path, her heart gradually changes the people around her... Kuno commented, "Dou is so kind!! Dou is a girl who warms the hearts of those around her and makes them feel happy. Dou herself doesn't try to be kind, but when she behaves naturally, she is always kind, which I think is heartwarming♪."
Ohashi said, "I'm so worried about Jahy!! Jahy has been appointed by the Demon King to be Dou-sama's tutor, and every day she gives Dou-sama trials to help him become a fine demon... But Dou-sama is so kind that it doesn't go well every time. There are many scenes where I feel that Jahy's strong sense of responsibility is taking a toll on her mental health, and as the actor I'm very worried!!"
