The popular Fuji TV variety show "Run for Money: Triple Mission Impossible" will be broadcast on January 10th in the "Saturday Premium" time slot (Saturdays at 9pm). Women's 100m hurdles athlete Hitomi Nakajima, who successfully escaped in the "Run for Money New Year Special" broadcast on the 4th, will be competing again. She will be attempting to successfully escape twice in a row, a first in the show's history.
The setting for this escape drama is two fields: Toyota Arena Tokyo (Koto Ward, Tokyo), which opened in October last year as the home ground of B. League team Alvark Tokyo, and Immersive Fort Tokyo (same location). This game is not just about "escape," but also features the "Kronos specialties" of "combat" and "informing." An unprecedented game in which three fears are intertwined will confuse the escapees.
Nakajima will represent Japan in the women's 100m hurdles at the Tokyo 2025 IAAF World Championships in Athletics. She has attracted attention for her pose, which she imitates Akaza from the anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Yaiba." After the program's recording, Nakajima commented, "Even during the getaway, I never imagined I'd be competing in consecutive races (laughs). My stamina was drained even more than in the race (laughs), but on the other hand, I also felt a sense of accomplishment that I can't experience in track and field, so it was a special experience."
Other guests who will appear include Tanaka Takushi of the comedy duo "Ungirls," who has become an indispensable presence when talking about the show; Izawa Takuji, known for his intelligence and strategy; popular YouTuber HIKAKIN; and former Self-Defense Force comedian Yasuko. Furthermore, Nako Yabuki, who was captured with 22 seconds left to successfully escape in the 2023 "Run for Money New Year's Eve Special," will be seeking revenge. Also taking part for the first time will be Yuna Hoshino, an actor with over 3.5 million followers on social media and overwhelming support from teens.
