The eighth episode of "LAZARUS," an original anime directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, known for the anime "Cowboy Bebop," titled "DEATH ON TWO LEGS," will be broadcast on TV Tokyo on May 25th.
Chris, who has gone missing, appears to have been kidnapped to an abandoned oil field in the Arctic Ocean. Team Lazarus sets off to rescue Chris, ignoring Hersh's protests. Meanwhile, Chris has been kidnapped by Russian special agents. Their leader, Inga, has a deep connection with Chris. Team Lazarus infiltrates the oil field with the help of Elaina, who is based at an observatory in Norway, but finds themselves in dire straits in a battle with the Russian agents.
The story is about a team of agents from around the world, Lazarus, who pursue Skinner, a genius scientist who developed a painkiller called Hapuna, which causes death three years after taking it, in order to save humanity.
Mamoru Miyano will play the protagonist Axel, who is imprisoned due to a certain incident but repeatedly escapes, and whose "hobby is escaping from prison." Voice actors include Makoto Furukawa, Maaya Uchida, Yuma Uchida, Manaka Iwami, Megumi Hayashibara Akio Otsuka, and Koichi Yamadera. MAPPA will produce the film.
