The 40th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " starring Mio Imada (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 AM and others) was broadcast on May 23rd, and viewers were drawn to the preview of the following week's episode, "Next to Despair is Hope," which was released after the main story.
In the 40th episode, in December 1939, the Yanai family receives a letter from Takashi ( Takumi Kitamura). Hiroshi (Yutaka Takenouchi) smiles happily at the strong letter that says he will make his graduation project his best work. At the same time, Nobu (Imada) receives a letter from Jiro (Ayumu Nakajima) on the sea. A few days later, Nobu goes to see Jiro and tells him his honest feelings.
Jiro smiles gently at Nobu. After parting ways with Jiro, Nobu is walking alone and remembers the words of his late father, Yutaro (Ryo Kase).
In the preview for next week's episode, which was released after the main story ended, Taka is seen lying helplessly on his futon and muttering, "It's all too late now." In the next scene, Taka and Jiro bump into each other in front of Asada Bread and exchange greetings. Next, Nobu appears in a wedding dress and a voice says, "Yaki is Taka Uchiha's oldest friend."
Other scenes shown include soldiers visiting Asada Bread, Ranko telling Nobu that she doesn't want to get involved in war anymore, and a crying Chiyoko (Naho Toda).
