It has been announced that voice actors Asami Seto, Yamadera Koichi, Koichi Yamadera, and Show Hayami will appear in the latest film, "Crayon Crayon Shin-chan : The Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Super Hot! The Spicy Kasukabe Dancers " (directed by Hashimoto Masakazu, to be released on August Noriko Hidaka), the 32nd film in the popular anime "Crayon Shin-chan chan" series. This will be Yamadera's first appearance in the "Crayon Shin-chan" series in about 16 years, since "Crayon Crayon Shin-chan : Otakebe! Kasukabe Wild Kingdom" released in 2009, and he will play the role of Kabir, an elite detective with outstanding physical abilities and a sharp mind.
The latest film is the first in the series' history to be set in India, and is a dance entertainment movie in which Nohara Shinnosuke and the Kasukabe Defense Force dance and dance. Yamadera commented, "This is my first time in a Crayon Shin-chan-chan movie in about 16 years, since 2009! I've been waiting for this opportunity. As a lover of Indian movies and curry, I was really happy to receive the offer to play Kabir! My real name is long, so I had a hard time introducing myself, but it's fun to say, so I hope everyone will watch the movie many times and memorize it. Please look forward to the duet with his partner Dil, played by Show Hayami! By the way, this is also my first experience of playing a mysterious role in my voice acting career."
Seto will play Ariana, an Indian girl who became hugely popular after competing in the Entertainment Festival the previous year, which gave the Kasukabe Defense Force the opportunity to go to India; Hayami will play Dil, a super elite detective who speaks all the world's languages and admires Kabir, calling him his "Big Bro" and forming a team with him; Hidaka will play Sugoi Cube, an artificial intelligence-equipped cube developed by Indian billionaire Wolf for 1 trillion yen; Takaki will play Flagtatelday, the owner of a suspicious general store; and Sakamoto will play the Honey Badger, the world's strongest land creature that lives in India and is a potential partner for Wolf.
Seto said, "I am really happy to be able to appear in a Crayon Shin-chan chan movie! I played Ariana, a popular girl in India. She is always smiling and makes everyone happy, but she actually worries about what those around her think of her...she has a sensitive side to her. Her encounter with Shin-chan gradually moves her heart. There is also an important scene where she conveys her feelings through song, so please pay attention to it! It's a movie that will make you laugh and dance a lot, but also leave a lasting impression on you at the end. I hope you enjoy it at the theater!"
Hayami commented, "Shin-chan and the others go to India. I have traveled there before; a country of heat, hustle and bustle and passion, which is dramatic in itself, but it's the Kasukabe Dancers. I was excited when I got the script, and I truly enjoyed myself while recording in the studio. Shin-chan and the others have great teamwork, and my partner and I are in perfect sync. Please be sure to check it out."
Hidaka said, "This time the setting is India! And since Shin-chan and the others will be singing and dancing, it's sure to be a fun production! I couldn't contain my excitement. As someone who loves opera, words like 'singing' and 'dancing' get my heart racing. But unfortunately, my role will not be singing or dancing. That's because I play a machine called 'Amazing Cube.' But maybe it's a little different from an ordinary machine... (laughs). Look forward to it~♪."
Takaki said, "Shinnosuke and the other Kasusabedancers go on many adventures in India. You'll laugh at how unexpected and fun their adventures are! A piece of paper can change a person...I actually want one of those! Everyone thinks he's a good kid, but in fact he doesn't want to be a good kid. He struggles with the gap between his true self and how everyone sees him. It's a fun and entertaining portrayal of the minds of children who are about to become adults."
Sakamoto commented, "A honey badger...? What's that...? I looked it up and found out it's recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as 'the most fearless animal in the world' and I was excited! I'm motivated to be the 'strongest and most terrifying'! When I looked it up, I found that they all have cute sounds and music overlaid on them. I went for the challenge with instinct at its best. You really need physical strength to express the rage and fighting spirit of a beast that has no words."
The latest work is about the Kasukabe Defense Force, who came to India to participate in an entertainment festival and were enjoying sightseeing in India, but after finding a backpack that resembled the shape of a nose in a suspicious general store, Bo-chan was led by an evil power and became a "tyrant (Bo-kun)" and went on a rampage... Shinnosuke and his friends try to stop Bo-chan, who has obtained a threatening power that could shake the world.
The film will be directed by Hashimoto, who has worked on the Crayon Shin-chan-chan series including "Honeymoon Hurricane: The Lost Hiroshi" and "Mononoke Ninja Chinpuden," and written by Kimiko Ueno, who has worked with Hashimoto on a number of Crayon Crayon Shin-chan films. The film will be released in theaters in India in late October.
