It has been revealed that the fourth stage play based on Gege Akutami's popular manga "Jujutsu Kaisen", "Stage Jujutsu Kaisen Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu", will be performed in Tokyo in August and Osaka in September. The episode "Kaitama/Gamaori", which takes place during Satoru Gojo and Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu Suguru Geto 's time at Jujutsu Technical College, will be adapted for the stage, with Miura Ryosuke and Fujita Rei continuing to play the roles of Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto, respectively, who have been playing them since the premiere. A teaser visual has been released, showing the backs of Gojo and Geto in their school uniforms. More details will be announced at a later date.
"Jujutsu Kaisen" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from March 2018 to September 2024. The story is about a high school student, Yuji Itadori, who is thrown into a world of battles over curses after a powerful "cursed object" is unsealed. The total number of copies of the comic series published is over 100 million.
The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021. The movie version, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 to the first season, was released in December 2021 and was a huge hit, grossing approximately 13.75 billion yen in Japan and approximately 26.5 billion yen worldwide. The second season of the TV anime, Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu/ Shibuya Incident, aired from July to December 2023. The production of a sequel to the anime, Culling Game , has also been announced.
"Jujutsu Jujutsu Kaisen - Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu ", a compilation of "Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu", will be released on May 30th.
