The main visual for the drama series W-30 "Nagatan and Ao to - Ichika's Cooking Book - 2" (WOWOW), starring actor Mugi Kadowaki and co-starring Ryuto Sakuma Sakuma of the popular group ACEes, has been released.
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Yuki Isogai (published by Kodansha). Set in Kyoto shortly after the war, the gourmet love story begins when the protagonist, chef Ichika Kuwanoki (played by Kadowaki), marries Shu Yamaguchi (played by Sakuma), the third son of a long-established Osaka hotel owner, in order to save her family's struggling restaurant, Kuwanoki. The previous series, "Nagatan and Ao to: Ichika's Cookbook," aired and streamed in 2023, garnering attention for the frustrating love story between a couple with a 15-year age difference and Ichika's "delicious-looking dishes." The sequel's new regular cast members include Toranosuke Kobayashi as Sakae Kawashima, Shu's older brother who returns from America and who stirs up the story; Yuri Tsunematsu as Shoko Kawashima, Sakae's sickly but cheerful wife; and child actor Riku Mano as Michiya Okabe, an adopted son who comes to the Kuwanoki household.
The full cast has also been announced, with Masato Yano, Asuka Kurosawa, and Masami Horiuchi among the cast members. Yano will play Hasaki, who works as the right-hand man of Sakae, played by Kobayashi, Kurosawa will play Yoshie Yamaguchi, the mother of Shu and his friends, played by Sakuma, and Horiuchi will play Yuho Kawashima, the father of Shoko, played by Tsunematsu.
Furthermore, it was announced that Fujii Mina will play the role of Yoimachi Keiko, an actress who visits Kuwanoki for a magazine interview in the second episode (broadcast and streaming on February 27th), and Zaiki Takuma will play Hayashi Masanori, Keiko's co-star and conversation partner. The theme song will be "Tomorrow" by Summer Eye (Natsume Tomoyuki), continuing from the previous work.
"Serial Drama W-30 'Nagatan and Ao to - Ichika's Cooking Book - 2'" will be broadcast on WOWOW Prime and WOWOW On Demand every Friday at 11pm starting February 20, 2026. There will be a total of 10 episodes, with the first episode being broadcast for free.
