The 71st episode of the NHK morning drama " Bakebake " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others), starring Akari Takaishi, was broadcast on January 12th. In the episode, viewers were drawn to Sawa ( Wan Marui ) and Nami (Sato Honami) seeing off Toki ( Honami Sato) as he leaves his tenement house in Tengoku-cho and moves into a new home.
Toki and Heaven (Tommy Bastow) are now a married couple. On the day of their move, Toki looks at the empty tenement house and mutters, "I can finally get out. Finally... I can go back to the other side of the river." Then, with a smile, he shouts, "Let's go! Wait for me, to the other side of the river!"
When Toki goes to greet Sawa, Sawa bows to the Matsuno family as they head to their new home, saying, "Thank you very much for everything." When Tsukasanosuke(Takashi Okabe) and Fumi (Chizuru Ikewaki) reply, "Thank you very much," and "Thank you for all your help over the years," Sawa whispers to Toki, "Congratulations." Toki replies, "Thank you. I'll be waiting for you."
Meanwhile, Nami pops her head out of a second-floor window in the brothel and calls out to Toki, "Good job." Toki tells her to take care, and Nami smiles and says, "Yes, Mr. Heaven, too," and waves her hand, saying, "See you!"
Comments on social media included, "She saw us off with a smile, but I'm sure she had mixed feelings inside. But her clean send-off didn't show any of that, and I felt her love and kindness," "I wonder how she felt when she heard Toki cry out, 'Wait for me on the other side of the river!'," "I feel lonely, jealous... complicated emotions," "I want both Osawa and Nami to be happy. This episode showed us that hard work doesn't always pay off," and "I'm going to go crazy if Nami and Sawa aren't happy in the future."
