To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump +", it has been announced that a project to turn one-shot stories into anime will be launched. The anime will be produced by three companies: WIT STUDIO, CONTRAIL, and Production IG, each of which will be responsible for producing one work. Details of the project, such as the works to be animated, will be announced in "Shonen Jump +" or on the "Shonen Jump +" 10th anniversary official website.
A person in charge of the project explained, "Shonen Jump+ has published many one-shot works. Over 2,000 in total. Why have we published so many works? There are many reasons, but one of them is that we wanted to discover the talent of manga artists. Many new writers have tried their hand at one-shots, pouring out their pure feelings and passion for manga. As a result, many manga that are popular with readers have been born. This time, the sparkle of that talent will be further polished by the talent of the anime world. What's more, we have brought together studios with such powers. The resulting anime is sure to be interesting! We will gradually provide you with more information from now on, so please look forward to it."
The project is planned and led by JOEN, a production company established with joint investment from CloverWorks and WIT STUDIO.
