It has been announced that Asami Seto will be appearing as a voice actor in the TV anime "Vigilante - My Hero Academia ILLEGALS -", an official spin-off of Kohei Horikoshi's popular manga "My Hero Academia (Hiroaka)". Seto will play Tsukauchi Makoto, a cheerful and sociable character who becomes Koichi's senior at university. Tsukauchi Makoto will appear in the 7th episode "Makoto", which will be broadcast on May 19th.
Seto commented, "I am very happy to be able to take part in the anime 'Vigilante' as Tsukauchi Makoto! Even at the dubbing site, I could feel the comicality and sense of speed of the original work. Although Makoto is a university student, she has strong beliefs and the power to put them into action, and from the perspective of those around her, she gives off the impression of an older sister that everyone looks up to. I would like to play the role carefully so as not to miss what is inside her."
"Vigilante -My My Hero Academia ILLEGALS-" is a manga written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Arata Betsuki. It was serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+" from 2017 to 2022. It is an official spin-off of "My Hero Academia " and is popular not only in Japan but also overseas. Set in Japan several years before the main story of "My Hero Academia", the story depicts the drama of illegal heroes, the Vigilantes, who cannot help but save people even if they are not "chosen" to do so, behind the scenes of the "chosen" heroes who protect people from enemies (villains) who abuse their "quirks".
The anime will be directed by Kenichi Suzuki , who has worked on " Cells at Work" and "JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE 's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean," and produced by Bones Films, the same company that produced " My Hero Academia." It is currently being broadcast on TOKYO MX, Yomiuri TV, and other networks.
