A special visual has been released, a collaboration between the original drama series "Star Wars: Cassian Andor" based on the sci-fi movie "Star Wars" and the TV anime "Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War," based on the final chapter of Kubo Tite's popular manga "BLEACH." It depicts Cassian Andor, a rebel soldier fighting for a just cause, and Uryu Ishida, a Quincy, carrying the determination to believe in hope.
The collaboration was made possible because both works are stories of warriors who sacrifice themselves for peace and their allies in a world conquered by overwhelming power. "Cassian Andor" is set just before "A New Hope", in an era when the Empire's oppression continues, and in "Rogue One", rebel intelligence officer Cassian Andor takes on a life-risking mission to destroy the ultimate weapon, the Death Star.
"BLEACH" is primarily set in Soul Society, the real world and the afterlife, and depicts the battle between Shinigami, Hollows, and Quincy. Ishida Uryu, who is a rival of the protagonist Kurosaki Ichigo but also a comrade, follows his own beliefs and, despite leaving his comrades at one point, risks his life in a battle to protect the world.
The special visual shows Cassian Andor taking on a life-risking mission with his fellow rebel comrades and revolutionaries, saying, "It was all for the rebellion." Meanwhile, Ishida Uryu, with a gloomy expression, is shown determining to find hope in the harsh battle, saying, "Believe in that 'hope'. This is my resolve."
Season 2 of "Cassian Andor" is currently available exclusively on Disney+ every Wednesday.
"Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War" will be broadcast in four separate seasons, with the first season airing from October to December 2022, the second season from July to September 2023, and the third season from October to December 2024. The title of the fourth season will be "Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War-Kashintan-."
