"The House in the Middle of Nowhere" (ABC TV/TV Asahi, Sunday 7:58 p.m.) is a variety show that uses satellite photos to find a secluded house. The May 11th broadcast will feature a family story that unfolds in a villa built by a deceased husband in the mountains of Gifu Prefecture.
This time, the satellite photo captured a building at the end of a road surrounded by trees on all sides. There was a cleared plot of land, so the search team visited a woodworking shop in the nearest village, who was familiar with the area, to check the satellite photo, but it suddenly became clear that there was no one there, saying, "This is a villa. No one lives here." The wife of the owner of the woodworking shop then told them, "The husband has passed away, but his wife lives in a village at the foot of the mountain," and kindly offered to drive them to the house.
According to the woman who currently owns the villa, her husband built it himself about 23 years ago. However, she had not been to the villa for about seven years since her husband passed away. The search team was kind enough to allow the woman to visit the villa, and she guided them there.
The mountain road from the village to the villa is still covered in snow, and there is no sign of any cars having passed by. At the end of a narrow, rough mountain road through a valley, a small building with a triangular roof stands beside a clear stream. In the trailer, a woman who has come to the villa for the first time in seven years is shown wondering which key in a set of keys is the key to the front door, and serving local cuisine to the search team.
Inside the villa, filled with the couple's memories, there is also a huge "wall painting" that the husband created himself. What is that "wall painting"?
The guests are Fujiki Naoto and Nao Matsushita, who serve as MCs for the program "Morning! Live Travel Salad" (ABC TV/TV Asahi).
