It has been announced that the original anime "Shinsei Galverse", directed by creator Ayaka Ohira, will be produced and released this summer. The anime incorporates gal culture into nostalgic anime from the 1990s and 2000s, and is co-directed by Yuta Takamura, with scriptwriters Natsuko Takahashi and Masahiro Okubo, and character designers Satoshi Ishino and Momo Nagayama. SoK will produce the anime.
Ohira commented, "As a self-taught freelance animation creator, I thought that the goal of 'creating a large-scale anime with a large staff' was an ideal that would be difficult to achieve in reality. However, this time, being able to create the world I have envisioned together with so many staff members and such a wonderful cast of voice actors makes me feel like I'm in a dream. I would be happy if this work will be loved by all of humanity through the nostalgic look that takes everyone back to their childhood, and the indomitable gal mind of the Galverse."
The story is about Galverse, who was born from fragments of the sacred star "Mother Planet," who uses her extraordinary abilities and gal-mindedness to fight against the evil organization, the Universe End Society, in order to restore peace to the galaxy, while getting closer to the truth of the galaxy.
