"Professional Ranking - KING OF IDOL -" (TBS), a program in which 186 idols from the past and present vote to choose their best songs, was broadcast on April 21st, and the top 40 songs were announced.
186 idols who were active during the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras selected their best songs, giving them points ranging from 10 points for 1st place to 1 point for 10th place. The results were announced in the form of a top 40 ranking. They also revealed the "points of great songs" that only professional idols can talk about, such as lyrics that reflect the era and choreography that they admire.
Akina Nakamori, Aya Matsuura, Morning Musume, FRUITS ZIPPER, AKB48, Nogizaka46 and other popular idols were also shown, and Haruka Koizumi from the idol group Cho Tokimeki Sendenbu, as well as former Cho Tokimeki Sendenbu members Maki Goto and Miki Fujimoto also appeared in the studio.
