It has been announced that popular voice actress Inori Minase , known for her role as Rem in the anime " Re:Zero (Re:ZERO)," will appear in the TBS Tuesday drama "Mirai no Musuko" (Tuesdays at 10 PM), which will begin airing on January 13, 2026. The series is a timeless love story in which a boy named Souta (Amano Yuu) who claims to be Souta's "future son" appears before Shiokawa Mirai, a woman in her 30s who is on the brink of losing both her dreams and her career, played by actress Shida Mirai. Minase will voice Luna, the smartwatch worn by Souta, who has come from the future.
Luna is only five years old and has difficulty giving complicated explanations or expressing his feelings well, so she becomes Souta's reliable companion, conveying his feelings to him and supporting him in his life in the modern world.
It was also announced that actor Yasushi Fuchigami will appear in the film, playing the role of the future father, Takeshi Shiokawa.
The film is based on the popular manga "Mirai no Musuko: A Son Came Down From the Sky!", which was serialized in "Young Jump+" (Shueisha) by Kumiko Aso, known for her screenplay for "Marumo no Okite" (2011), and Hajime Kuromugi. The story follows a heroine who was half-hearted in love, work, and dreams, but suddenly becomes a mother. Through raising a child, she learns about living with someone and supporting each other, and begins to live life in her own way.
