It has been announced that the light novel by Meikyou Shisui, who is popular on the novel posting site "Shosetsuka ni Naro", "Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon", will be made into a TV anime and will be broadcast in the fall of 2025. The main cast has also been announced, with Nina Tamaki playing the main character Light and Ikumi Hasegawa playing Mei, a level 9999 seeker maid who swears loyalty to Light.
The story is about the protagonist, Light, who is betrayed by his friends, and who uses his gift, the power of infinite gacha, to stage a world-shaking revenge. Light, a boy of the human race, the weakest and most ridiculed of the nine races created by the Goddess, is welcomed into a party made up of the nine races and lives happily, until he is betrayed by his friends in the world's largest and worst dungeon, the abyss. Having survived at the bottom of the abyss, Light learns the true power of infinite gacha and tries to build the strongest kingdom. The light novel has been published by HJ Novels (Hobby Japan), and the comic adaptation has also become popular. The series has sold a total of approximately 4.6 million copies.
The anime will be directed by Katsushi Sakurabi and produced by JCSTAFF. A teaser visual and teaser PV have been released, depicting Light and his former comrades who are the targets of his revenge.
