Daigo and Nobu from the comedy duo "Chidori" will be appearing as substitute MCs for Downtown on the talk variety show "Downtown DX" (Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV), which will be broadcast at 10 pm on April 10th.
On this day, in keeping with the new life season, the cast members will talk about their experiences when they first moved to Tokyo, under the title "Living Alone in Tokyo for the First Time."
Regarding the designer apartment in Shibuya Ward where he first lived after moving to Tokyo, Nobu explained, "I was working away from home at the time, so my wife came to check on us. That night, she was paralyzed by sleep paralysis. When we had (fortune teller) Gettrz Iida look at it, he told us that it was the worst room for luck."
"I was told to put up a gold and white poster to bring me good luck, so I looked for a gold and white poster on Amazon..." he said, and the studio erupted in laughter.
Meanwhile, Daigo had been spending a lot of money, so he started his life in Tokyo in a one-room apartment with a unit bath for 60,000 yen. "I didn't have any money, so I couldn't even buy curtains. There was a really big traffic light next to the window, and it was always red or green. When I woke up in the middle of the night, it was yellow," he said, laughing.
Guests will include talents Yoshizumi Ishihara, Sakura Inoue, former AKB48 member Yui Yokoyama, Kazuki Iio from comedy duo Zun, Tetsuya Morita from Saraba Seishun no Hikari, the duo Tom Browne, Ryuji Imaichi from dance and vocal group J SOUL BROTHERS III, and influencer Mia Fujita.
