The ninth episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " starring Mio Imada (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 am and others) was broadcast on April 10th. The episode depicted the reunion of Takashi (Kimura Yuuki) and his mother Tomiko ( Nanako Matsushima), which attracted the attention of viewers.
In episode 9, Taka receives a postcard from his mother, Tomiko, who left the house saying she would be back soon. The postcard says, "Something has been taking up some time, so it will probably be a while before I can come to pick you up," but it cheers Taka up.
Meanwhile, Taka's younger brother Chihiro (Masataka Hirayama) develops a high fever and confesses, "I want to see her. I want to see my mother." When Taka consults Nobu (Yuzuna Nagase) about it, Nobu advises, "If you got a postcard, you know her address, right? Why don't you go and see her and bring her over? That's what I would do."
Afterwards, Taka asks "Yam-onchan" Kusakichi (Sadao Abe) for directions to Kochi where Tomiko lives, and walks to the address written on the postcard. When Taka arrives in front of a magnificent mansion, he calls out in a loud voice, "Excuse me!" Tomiko comes out upon hearing his voice, and with a look of surprise and confusion on her face, she mutters, "Taka..."
In response to Tomiko's reaction on social media, people said things like, "She's reunited with her mother, but there's an uneasy atmosphere...", "I'm worried that she'll be cold to Taku", "It's painful to think about what kind of conversation they will have tomorrow", "I'm scared of tomorrow", and "Please don't hurt Taku."
