It has been revealed that the third season of the anime "Record of Ragnarok", based on the battle manga currently being serialized in "Monthly Comic Zenon" (Core Mix), entitled "Record of Ragnarok III", will be produced and distributed exclusively on Netflix. A teaser visual and teaser PV depicting the First Emperor and Hades have been released.
Original author Umemura commented, "Thank you very much for the decision to make a third season of the anime!!! We owe it all to everyone's support! I am truly grateful. Personally, I am really looking forward to seeing how Nikola Tesla's technique will be portrayed! Please continue to support 'Record of Ragnarok'!!"
Takumi Fukui, who is in charge of the composition of the original work, said, "Many years have passed since the end of the second season, when expectations were skyrocketing... thanks to the support of all the fans...! It's here! Season 3!! How will they recreate the fights between those guys depicted in the original!? How will they portray those techniques and scenes!? And those guys who continue to appear and those we'll get to meet again! I look forward to the new stage for gods and humanity!!" Illustrator Ajichika has contributed a new illustration.
"Record of Ragnarok" began serialization in "Monthly Comic Zenon" in 2017. Representatives of the gods and representatives of humanity from around the world compete in 13 one-on-one battles. The comic has sold over 18 million copies in total.
The first season of the anime began streaming on Netflix in June 2021, the first part of the second season, "Record of Ragnarok II," (episodes 1-10) in January 2023, and the second part, episodes 11-15, in July of the same year.
