Singer Hiromi Go appeared at the 76th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen, held at the NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 31st.
This year marked his 38th appearance, and Go, who announced that he would be "retiring" from Kohaku as he turned 70, performed his signature song "240 Million Eyes - Exotic Japan." In the middle of the song, he high-fived the other singers lined up on stage. "Thank you, thank you for Kohaku, Kohaku is the best!" he shouted.
After finishing the song, she said with tears in her eyes, "Thank you so much. It's rare to hear such a great performance of '240 Million Eyes'. Thank you so much."
