Singer Eikichi Yazawa will be appearing in a special event at the 76th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen on December 31st.
Yazawa performed the ballad "Truth," which she released on the occasion of her 50th solo anniversary and was the theme song for the drama "The Last Appraiser" (Fuji TV) in a location separate from the venue. Afterwards, the lights went out in the NHK Hall, and she suddenly appeared onstage and sang two songs. The venue was transformed into a melting pot of excitement.
After her performance, when asked for her thoughts, Yazawa said, "Thank you for letting me appear on Kohaku Uta Gassen."
