Hidaka Ukisho, a member of the popular junior group ACEes, appeared at a press conference for the quiz special "Senbiki: Just Draw a Line to Answer," which will be broadcast on Nippon Television from 3:00 PM on January 3, 2026 (excluding some regions). He chose "sell" ("sale") as the kanji character that represents the year 2025.
When asked why, she smiled and said, "Thankfully, I've had so many opportunities to appear on TV this year!" She also mentioned that she's been seeing her co-stars on the show, Shimofuri Myojo's Seiya, Chiaki Horan, and Orin, "a lot recently," and added, "It's embarrassing to say this in front of all three of you, but I've appeared on about 200 shows, so it's been the busiest year of my life. At the beginning of this year, I said my goal was to 'be popular!' and I think I did my best, so I'd say 'popular'."
This program has aired special programs in the past, and this is the third installment. Questions such as "Connect the correct zebra tail with a line" and "Add two lines to make a compound word" are all answered by drawing a line.
In "Choose the Turning Point! Classic Medley Selection," where the lyrics of two songs are displayed connected and participants have to draw a line where the songs change, Ukisho tries his hand at a hit song by his senior band, Arashi, but is left completely confused, saying, "Wait! Which one is it?"
Ukisho said, "I think it's a quiz show that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. I think the whole family will have fun watching it together over the New Year holidays!"
