It has been announced that the new original anime "Food for the Soul," with characters, story concept, and manga name creation by Atto, the author of the manga "Non Non Biyori," will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other networks from April 12th. The anime is about five girls who have just become university students and enjoy their university life, loving delicious food, wanting to have lots of fun with everyone, and trying their best to study.
The main cast was also announced, with Hana Shimano as Mako Kawai, Ai Kakuma as Kurea Furudate, Yoshino Aoyama as Shinon Ogawa, Natsune Inui as Tsutsuji Higa, Saya Aizawa as Nana Hoshi, and Azuki Moeno as Mokotaro. Singer-songwriter asmi will be in charge of the opening theme "Sonna Mon ne".
The film will be directed by Kawamo Shinya, who worked on the anime "Non Non Biyori," and Shunsui You, who has worked on "The Quintessential Quintuplets ∬," and produced by PAWORKS, which also produced "SHIROBAKO."
