TV Tokyo's drama series "We Are Bad Barbers" (Fridays at 12:42am), starring actor Ayumu Nakajima and dance and vocal group Bullet Train's Takuya Kusakawa, will begin airing on Getsuku. The "barber action comedy" is directed by Sakamoto Yugo, director of the "Baby Warukyure" series. Nakajima, who gained attention last year for his role in the NHK Asadora"Anpan," will be starring in his first drama series.
The drama is set in Tsukishiro Barber Shop, a retro barbershop tucked away in a rural town. At first glance, it appears to be an ordinary barbershop, but the owner, Tsukishiro Tsukasa (Kusakawa), has a hidden side. Tsukishiro is a behind-the-scenes barber who uses force to solve problems that customers bring to him that cannot be solved in the mainstream world. His job is to straighten out his clients' messy lives and cut their hair for 3 million yen. Higurashi Ayumu (Nakajima), who ends up working as a live-in barber at Tsukishiro Barber Shop through an unexpected turn of events, takes on a variety of requests despite his clumsiness... Goto Takenori and Kora Kengo also star.
The subtitle of the first episode is "The True Identity of the 3 Million Yen Barber Shop..." Guest appearances by Watanabe Hide, Shida Kohaku, and Nishida Itaru.
Higurashi Ayumu (Nakajima), a man in his 40s, aspires to become a charismatic hairdresser, but his dreams are shattered and he sets out on a journey. With no home or money, Higurashi visits Tsukishiro Barber Shop, which he finds in a rural town, and begs the owner, Tsukishiro Tsukasa (Kusakawa), to let him become a barber. However, Tsukishiro has a hidden side. His public face is that of a "barber," but his secret face is that of a "secret agent" who uses force to solve any problem that customers ask him to solve. After escaping the terrifying barber shop, Higurashi meets a mysterious man named Shinnosuke (Takara)...
