A new series by Shigeki Tange, winner of the Special Encouragement Award at the 111th Newcomer Manga Awards in the manga magazine Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha), titled "The Werewolf Who Wants to Stay Alive," began in the magazine's 15th issue, released on March 12th. The series was featured in color on the cover of the issue, and was introduced as "a blood-pumping new series from the hope of the next generation! Werewolf is lurking. Right near you."
The story is about a werewolf, a monster that eats humans, steals their appearance and memories, and changes into another person, and the fate of a young man who wants to live intertwines, and a strange tale begins... The author, Tange, commented, "As this is my first serialization, I'm feeling anxious, but I'll do my best, so please look forward to it!"
Tange's one-shot "Nagata Kanata and the Sword," which won a Special Encouragement Award at the 111th Newcomer Manga Awards, is currently available on Kodansha's web manga service, Magapoke.
