Original illustrations for the Blu-ray Disc (BD), storage box, and digital jacket of the first volume of the discless package of the popular Gundam anime TV series Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX have been released. Character designer Take-san has created original illustrations of Amate Yuzuriha (Machu) and Shuuji Ito for the storage box. The digital jacket features original illustrations of GQuuuuuuX and Nyaan by animation character designer and chief character animation director Yumi Ikeda and animation mechanical designer and chief mechanical animation director Kim Se-jun, respectively.
Details of the drama CD that will be included in the special limited edition Blu-ray have also been revealed. It will include an original spin-off written by series composer and scriptwriter Enokido Youji. Set in the Izma Colony, it will tell the story of Machu and his friends that was not depicted in the main story. A preview video of the first episode, "Shuuji's Painting," included in Volume 1, has been released on YouTube.
The TV anime "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX" will have a three-volume packaged version available in Blu-ray, DVD, and discless packages. These will be released sequentially from January 28, 2026. The theatrical pre-release version, "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning-," will also be packaged and released on May 27, 2026. Store-specific bonuses have also been announced.
Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX was also a hot topic as it was the first collaboration between Sunrise, the studio behind the Gundam series, and khara, known for the Evangelion series. Ahead of the TV anime series broadcast, a pre-release theatrical version, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-, which reconstructed some episodes, began screening on January 17th. The TV anime aired from April to June.
