Since its debut on February 2, 1976, TV Asahi's long-running program "Tetsuko's Room" (Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM) has featured Tetsuko Kuroyanagi hosting conversations with celebrities and popular people from various fields. To commemorate its 50th year on the air, the fourth installment of the "50th Anniversary Deep Dive Special" will be broadcast on December 12th from 8:10 PM to 9:54 PM (excluding some areas).
Kensuke Okoshi, the news Caster for the network's news program "Hodo Station" (Monday to Friday, 9:54 p.m.), and Yumiko Udo, the news Caster for "Udo Times" (Sunday, 8:56 p.m.), will appear and engage in frank discussions. Matsuko Deluxe will also appear as a special supporter.
While working at NHK, Caster became friends with Matsuko through an acquaintance, and despite Matsuko being younger than him, he usually calls her "Big Sister Matsuko" and adores her. On the show, Caster Okoshi and Udo each request footage they want to see from the more than 12,500 episodes of "Tetsuko's Room."Caster, a former ace of the University of Tokyo baseball team, requested episodes featuring baseball legends like Enatsu Yutaka and Nomo Hideo. When Kuroyanagi, who is not an expert on baseball, was introduced, everyone erupted in laughter at the episode in which he and Enatsu had a mismatched exchange.
Meanwhile, in past episodes requested by Caster Udo, in addition to her favorite artists and people she respects, there is also an episode featuring a partner with whom she was "rumored to be married." From there, Kuroyanagi and Caster's "unsuccessful matchmaking experience" is revealed.
Furthermore, Kuroyanagi-san's usual "impossible request" led to both Caster Ogoe and Udo showing off their impersonations. Caster Ogoe, who has never done an impersonation before, showed off his best "voice imitation."
