This is Amatsuki's second time appearing in the "Doraemon" movie series, following the previous Doraemon: Nobita's Earth Symphony" (directed by Imai Kazuaki), in which he plays the host of a variety show. Amatsuki commented, "I'm really happy to be able to appear as a guest voice actor again, following last year, and to be able to take part in the world of Doraemon and his friends' adventures, which I love, even if only a little. Since this is the second year in a row, everyone at the dubbing studio was very welcoming and I had a lot of fun recording! It's been a while since we've seen a Doraemon work in a full-scale fantasy, and I couldn't stop being excited by the exciting worldview throughout the film!"
The latest film is the 45th anniversary work of the "Doraemon" movie series. The stage is "the world inside the painting", where Doraemon and Nobita and friends who met in the painting face off against a powerful enemy for the phantom jewel.
The film will be directed by Yukiyo Teramoto, who has directed the TV anime "Doraemon " and became the series' first female director with " Nobita 'Doraemon New Great Adventure into the Underworld: The Seven Magicians" in 2007. The screenplay will be written by Kimihisa Ito, who has written many scripts for the TV anime " Doraemon," and will be taking part in the "Doraemon the Movie" series for the first time.
