The key visual for the Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans 10th Anniversary Event - Tekka Festival -, an event celebrating the 10th anniversary of the anime Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, has been unveiled for the first time. The visual features Mikazuki Augus, Orga Itsuka, and others dressed up in gorgeous outfits such as suits and dresses, and was created by character designer Yu Ito and illustrated by character designer Michinori Chiba. Merchandise featuring this visual will also be produced.
The event will be held on February 15th, 2016 at Tachikawa Stage Garden (Tachikawa, Tokyo), and will feature Kawanishi Kengo as Kengo Kawanishi, Yoshimasa Hosoya Yoshimasa as Orga Itsuka, Natsuki Hanae as Biscuit Griffon, Takumi Yasuaki as Akihiro Altland, Murata Taishi as Norba Shino, Tamura Mutsumi as Ride Massu, Terasaki Yuka as Kudelia Aina Bernstein, Kanemoto Hisako as Atra Mixta, Takahiro Sakurai as McGillis Fareed, Matsukaze Masaya as Gaelio Bauduin, composer Yokoyama Masaru, and SPYAIR, who performed the opening theme.
It was also announced that the 91st episode of the official program "Tekkadan Broadcasting Station (Tetsuraji)," hosted by Kawanishi and Terasaki, will be streamed on the official Gundam YouTube channel, "Gundam Channel," from 5:30 PM on December 28th. Yuichiro Umehara, who plays Eugene, will appear as a guest.
"Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" is set approximately 300 years after the end of the great war known as the Calamity War, and depicts the battles of Mikazuki, Augus, and the Tekkadan. The first season aired from October 2015 to March 2016, and the second season aired from October 2016 to April 2017.
The theatrical release of a special edition of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urdr Hunt," entitled "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urdr Hunt - The Trail of a Little Challenger," on October 31st also generated a lot of buzz. "Urdr Hunt" is an anime distributed through the "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" smartphone app, "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans G." A new short film from "Iron-Blooded Orphans," "The Wedge Between Curtains," was screened at the same time.
