In "Fateful Encounters," we ask today's most popular actors and artists about the people who influenced them. This time, we asked actor Suzu Hirose Taisei Kido, to talk about his encounter with a work starring Takuya Kimura, which inspired him to aspire to become an actor.

What made me want to become an actor was a work starring Takuya Kimura.
I used to watch shows like "Pride," "HERO," "GOOD LUCK!!," "ENGINE," and "Love Generation" with my mother.
He seemed like someone who truly made a living from his profession, and I realized how amazing the job of an actor is.
However, when asked about who I look up to or who my ideal actor is, I can't think of anyone right away.
Of course, I don't want to be left behind by my seniors in the same agency (Shun Oguri Oguri, Kei Tanaka, Go Ayano, Kentaro Sakaguchi, etc.), and I just want to hang on to them.
However, I want to create a unique actor image called "Taisei Kido." I want to establish a "new seat" that no one else has.
This time, I played the real poet Nakahara Chuya in the movie "Yukite Kaeranu" (directed by Negishi Kichitaro). The movie depicts the relationship between the three of them: Hasegawa Yasuko, an aspiring actress played by Suzu Hirose Suzu, and Masaki Okada, a literary critic played by Okada Masaki, and there were many scenes with the three of them.
I felt a lot of pressure at first acting with them. I had seen a lot of their acting, so I was always thinking on set that if they were going to give it their all, then I'd have to give 120% back, which was enough for me to be chosen for this role, even though I had no experience.
When the cameras weren't rolling, the two of them were very level-headed and very easy to talk to. That's why the moment the filming started, the look in their eyes changed, and the way they transformed into Yasuko and Kobayashi was so possessed and explosive that it was almost scary, and I was really overwhelmed. But I hate to lose, so I also felt that I shouldn't lose to that.
Hirose-san in particular has an extremely sharp sensibility. I think she probably has something like a switch. I was amazed at how quickly she could switch between roles.
I'm not confident that I can switch on and off so skillfully, and if I try to force it and the performance ends up being half-baked, I'm the type of person who thinks I should turn it on a little earlier. So, even with this work, I prepared with it on all the time.
In particular, this movie is centered around three people and is drawn for two hours, so if I were to lose my place as one of the axes of the love triangle, the triangle would no longer be a love triangle. That would ruin the movie, so I had no choice but to go for it. If I tried to trick them, they would find out right away and it wouldn't be okay, so I had no choice but to go all out.
