It has been revealed that Yuki Kashiwagi, a former member of the idol group "AKB48," will appear on NHK Educational TV's language program "Chinese! Navi" (Wednesdays at 11 p.m.) as a student in the 2025 school year. Kashiwagi appeals to viewers, saying, "Let's aim to be able to speak Chinese one year from now, and enjoy learning together!"
In the new fiscal year, "Chinese! Navi" aims to be a program where you can use the words you have learned. The lecturer is Professor Toru Kato of Meiji University, a leading researcher in Peking opera. He says he will also talk about the depths of Chinese culture. "Funassyi" will also continue to appear.
Kashiwagi, who will appear on the program airing on April 2nd, revealed, "When I was in AKB, I often visited China for live shows and fan meetings. I always felt frustrated, thinking, 'If only I understood the language better, I could talk to my fans so much more.'" She added, "I think there are some people who are too busy to take the opportunity to learn, but I would be happy if we could all stand on the same starting line from now on and take on the challenges, encouraging each other from time to time."
