It has been announced that Yohei Azagami will be appearing as a voice actor in the TV anime "Futari Solo Camp," based on the manga by Yudai Deguchi currently being serialized in "Morning" (Kodansha). Azagami will play Akito Takigawa, a friend of the main character, Kinokura Gen, a solo camper who loves solitude.
Azagami commented, "At first glance, Akito appears to be a womanizer and a frivolous guy, but he also seems like a settled adult who has had all the fun he could have in his youth. He doesn't force his opinions on others, and he's not bound by anything. This free-spirited man has been connected with Gen for many years through "camping." I've played the role in a way that makes the exquisite and comfortable balance of their friendship seem appealing."
Regarding his own camping experience, he said, "It was my first ever solo camping trip, and the rental car was hit by flying rocks and got a flat tire at the campsite, so it was a terrible experience...But the other campers and the staff who helped me were very kind to me, and I was able to experience human kindness. It's a very fond memory! (laughs)."

A stage event for the series will be held on March 23rd at AnimeJapan 2025, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto Ward, Tokyo). It was announced that Azagami will appear in addition to Daiki Hamano, who plays Kinokura Gen, and Nizaki Mizuki, who plays Kusano Shizuku.
The story is about a solo camper who loves solitude, Gen Kinokura, who is enjoying his usual solo camping trip when he unexpectedly encounters a super beginner camper, Shizuku Kusano, and the two end up going on a solo camping trip together... A live-action drama starring Win Morisaki has been airing on TOKYO MX since January, and it has been a hot topic.
The anime will be directed by Jun Hatori and produced by SynergySP. It will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations from July.
