A new visual, "Epilogue Visual Full Ver.", for the final chapter "FINAL SEASON" of the TV anime " My Hero Academia ," based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), has been released. The visual is an upgraded version of the "Epilogue Visual [ Izuku Midoriya"Deku"]" released on November 27th, and features a total of 23 smiling faces, including Deku, his 20 classmates, his homeroom teacher Shota Aizawa, and the "Symbol of Peace"All Might, along with the tagline "This is our Hero My Hero Academia, " on December 13th.
Ahead of the final episode, a special feature titled "PLUS ULTRA Message" was posted on the series' official website, in which 48 cast members and main staff members of "My Hero Academia" shared their passionate thoughts with fans and viewers. Daiki Yamashita , who played the main character Izuku Midoriya , wrote, "My Hero Academia was created by the One for All desires of everyone involved, who wanted to share this story with as many people as possible, and I am proud to be a part of that desire. If Deku continues to move forward, looking forward with the determination to be the greatest hero who continues to reach out to others, then I, too, want to look straight ahead like him and continue moving forward with the irreplaceable people I have met thanks to this series."
General Director Nagasaki Kenji expressed his gratitude, saying, "I've loved anime since I was a child. I would watch it every week with excitement. It gave me energy and courage. Now it's become a part of me. I couldn't be happier if all the fans are enjoying 'My Hero Academia' in the same way! Thank you for watching and supporting us over the years!! Thank you so much!!!"
On December 13th, a screening event called " My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON ULTRA SCREENING" will be held at 12 cinemas nationwide. Part of the stage greeting session featuring Yamashita and eight other cast members will be streamed live on YouTube.
"My Hero Academia" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from July 2014 to August 2024. Set in a world where approximately 80% of the population possesses supernatural powers and quirks, the series follows Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, as he strives to become the greatest hero. The comics have sold over 100 million copies worldwide. The eighth season, "FINAL SEASON," is currently airing every Saturday at 5:30 pm on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV.
