The NHK Taiga drama "BROTHERS IN ARMS (Toyotomi Brothers!)", starring actor Taiga Nakano, will air on NHK General on Sundays at 8 PM and other times. In episode 23, "Farewell Hanbei," airing on June 14th, Shogo Hama will make his first appearance as Terumoto Mori.
"BROTHERS IN ARMS (Toyotomi Brothers!)" is the 65th Taiga drama. With Toyotomi Hidenaga (Koichiro) as the protagonist, it depicts the miraculous feat of unifying Japan together with his older brother Hideyoshi (Tokichiro) through their strong bond, a success story of dreams and hopes.
The script is written by Hiroyuki Yatsu, known for his work on "Hanzawa Naoki" (TBS) and the Asadora drama series "Ochoyan." The music is composed by Hideaki Kimura, and the narration is provided by actress Sakura Ando.
Mōri Terumoto was the head of the Mōri clan, a powerful daimyo family in Aki Province (present-day Hiroshima Prefecture) during the Sengoku period, and the grandson of Mōri Motonari. He opposed Nobunaga, who was invading western Japan. He considered the security of his territory his top priority.
This will be Hama's second appearance in a Taiga drama, the first being as Taira no Koremori in "The 13 Lords of the Shogun" (2022), four years ago.
