The first episode of the Sunday Theatre drama " Mikami Sensei " (TBS, Sunday 9pm) starring actor Tori Matsuzaka was broadcast on January 19th. Matsuzaka's character Mikami, a "bureaucratic teacher", and Masaki Okada, became a hot topic on social media.

The story begins with Mikami, a Ministry of Education bureaucrat who wants to change education in Japan, being transferred to a private high school called Rintoku Gakuin. Although it is a demotion, Mikami takes to the podium himself and leads 18-year-old high school students living in the Reiwa era while standing up to authority.
One day, Mikami, who became the homeroom teacher for Class 2, Year 3 at Rintoku Gakuin High School, had some business in Tokyo and was eating at a restaurant he used to frequent. Makino and Mikami's junior, Tsubuki (Kaito Sakurai), showed up and they ended up eating together.
"It hasn't even been a week yet, so even though we're having classes, it feels like we're playing house," said Gojo, but then tried to end the conversation about Rintoku Gakuin by saying, "Aren't there something more interesting to be interested in than a high school that's using money to get into the University of Tokyo?"
"What? You think that way? You mean the high school you go to?" Makino says to Migami, who then says "Thank you for the meal" and starts to leave. Makino says, "It's fine, I'll pay. It's to celebrate your promotion." Migami replies, "What? You sold me for this position. I should be the one to celebrate," and pays 4,500 yen and leaves the store.
There was also a scene where Makino revealed to his superior, Tsukada (Mitsuhiro Oikawa), Director-General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Bureau of Educational Policy, that "(the authorities) said that I betrayed them and sold them out to Tsukada."
Regarding the relationship between Mikami and Makino, comments were made on social media such as, "The quiet rivalry between Tori Matsuzaka and Masaki Okada is the best," "The rivalry between Tori Matsuzaka Tori and Masaki Okada Masaki with Michi in between is the best," and "I think Masaki Okada and Tori Matsuzaka are connected behind the scenes, no matter what."
Some viewers were reminded of the TV drama "We're not a shy Mikami Sensei, Tori Matsuzaka, Masaki Okada, and Riho Yoshioka, I was reminded of "We're not a shy person, but what's wrong with that?"
