The four-piece mixed-gender band "Ryokuoushoku Shakai" appeared at the rehearsal for the "75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen" (general and other channels) held at the NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 29th. They spoke about their enthusiasm for the show.
Ryokuoushoku Shakai, who will be participating for the third consecutive year, will perform "Because We Are Living Things," which was created as a set piece for the junior high school division of this year's "91st NHK National School Music Competition (N-Con)." They will collaborate with a joint team made up of six junior high schools in Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture, which won the national competition.
Vocalist Nagaya Haruko said, "The different style of performance is very stimulating for us. Usually I sing alone, but when other voices are added, my voice and singing style change. It's only a few minutes, but I can feel the change, and I'm sure the listeners will too. I'm sure it'll be a chemical reaction, or something interesting. I'm really looking forward to it."
The 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen will be broadcast on December 31st from 7:20pm to 11:45pm (with some news breaks). Hiroiki Ariyoshi, Kanna Hashimoto, Sari Ito, and announcer Naoko Suzuki will be the hosts.
