The 105th episode of the NHK Asadora drama series "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 AM and other times), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on August 22nd, and featured Nobu (Imada) confessing his secret feelings, saying, "I never became anything."
In episode 105, while Nobu and Takashi ( Takumi Kitamura) continue to live apart, Nobu learns from Tomiko (Nanako Matsushima) the origin of Takashi's name and heads to the mountain alone. Nobu climbs to the top with strong steps and thinks of Takashi while feeling the breath of nature.
Meanwhile, Taka takes out paper to draw a manga for the first time in a while. Nobu's words come back to his mind, and he immediately becomes absorbed in drawing, putting his pencil to work. When Nobu returns to Taka for the first time in a long while, she reveals, "I never became anything. I couldn't accomplish anything - not being a teacher, not being a secretary to a congressman, not working for a company. I couldn't even give birth to your baby." And so the story unfolds.
"That's not anyone's fault," Taka said, holding Nobu's hand and gently saying, "This is fine for us as a couple." Nobu shed tears and confided, "But sometimes I wonder why I was born," and "I feel pathetic, like the world has forgotten me, left me behind." Taka replied, "Nobu-chan, you were always running for someone. Always at full speed. Without you, I wouldn't be who I am today. You're great just the way you are," to which Nobu replied, "Thank you."
On social media, comments such as "Nobu's words 'I never amounted to anything' are heartbreaking" and "I'm crying, Nobuuuuuuuuu" were posted, while many viewers sympathized with her, saying, "There are a lot of cases where the heroines of Asadora end up being nothing, so don't worry about it," "The world is made up of people who never amounted to anything..." and "I never amounted to anything either. Most of the world is made up of people who never amounted to anything." Also, as Nobu's confession omitted her time as a newspaper reporter, comments such as "Kochi's newspaper company is forgettable," "Nobu skips over her time as a Kochi Shimpo newspaper reporter," and "Nobu-san, you're leaving out the reporter part" were also posted.
