It has been announced that from December 27th, MAPPA's original visual cards of Hange and Erwin will be given away as a special gift to ticket holders in the 8th and 9th weeks of the movie version of "Attack on Titan: The Last Attack," the final chapter of the TV anime "Attack on Titan" based on the popular manga by Isayama Hajime. In response to the voices of fans who were eager to get special gifts of Hange and Erwin, chief animation director Akita Manabu drew the two of them. It was also announced that the movie will be shown in additional theaters from January 10th, 2025.
"Attack on Titan" is a manga that depicts humanity's desperate battle against giants with overwhelming power. It is Isayama's debut work, which began serialization in September 2009 as the inaugural title of "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), and reached its final chapter in April 2021.
Season 1 of the TV anime aired from April to September 2013, Season 2 from April to June 2017, and Part 1 of Season 3 from July to October 2018. Part 2 of Season 3 aired from April to June 2019, Part 1 of the final chapter, "The Final Season," aired from December 2020 to March 2021, Part 2 from January to April 2022, the final episode (Part 1) in March 2023, and the final episode (Part 2) in November 2023.
The movie version is a re-creation of the main cuts from the TV anime that was broadcast in two parts. It was released on November 8th and has been a hit, grossing 1 billion yen and attracting over 700,000 people. The 4DX and MX4D versions will be screened from January 17th, 2025.
