It has been announced that the total number of copies of the popular manga " Dandadan " by Yukinobu Tatsu, which is currently being serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+", has surpassed 8 million. The announcement was made during a stage event for the series on December 21st at the "Jump Festa 2025" event being held at Makuhari Messe. The series' TV anime series, which began airing in October, has also been a hot topic, with the total number of copies published as of early October reaching approximately 4 million, roughly doubling in just three months. The latest 18th volume of the manga will be released on January 4th, 2025.
" Dandadan" began serialization in "Shonen Jump +" in April 2021. It depicts Momo, a high school girl from a family of spiritualists, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic, as they confront the mysterious happenings that appear one after another. The first season of the anime began in October on the late-night anime slot "Super Animeism TURBO" on MBS/TBS, and aired its final episode on December 19th.
The second season will be broadcast simultaneously nationwide in the same time slot starting in July 2025.
