The day has come for Yui (Hashimoto) to leave Itoshima, Fukuoka.
As Yota (Sugao Araki) sees her off at the station, Yui says she thinks of him as family, but Yota has mixed feelings and says that if Shoya (Sano Hayato) does anything to make her cry, he'll fly away even if it's Kobe. Meanwhile, Nagayoshi (Matsudaira Ken) is working in the fields with Kayo (Miyazaki Yoshiko).
"Omusubi" is a "Heisei youth graffiti" about a heroine born in 1989 who, with her "gal spirit" of valuing her individuality at all times, connects people's hearts and futures as a nutritionist.
