Kanna Hashimoto stars in the NHK morning drama series "Omusubi" (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8am and others). The sixth week, "I'm Quitting Being a Gal," begins on November 4th.

When Yui (Hashimoto) sees Masato (Kitamura Yukiya) sad that Ayumu (Naka Riisa) has become a gyaru and rebelled, saying that it's her fault, she announces that she's quitting being a gyaru, surprising everyone around her.

Yui also quits the calligraphy club and devotes herself to farm work at home after school. Meanwhile, at the Yoneda household, Ayumu says that she wants to move back to Kobe with her family, which Nagayoshi (Matsudaira Ken) opposes. Yui also thinks that she can't keep up with Ayumu's willingness. In an attempt to cheer her up, Ayumu consults the gals from Fullmetal Alchemist about Yui.

"Omusubi" is a "Heisei youth graffiti" about a heroine born in 1989 who, with a "gal spirit" that values being true to herself at all times, connects people's hearts and futures as a nutritionist. It is an original work by screenwriter Nemoto Nonji, known for NHK's drama "Shojiki Real Estate," among others.
