A plastic model of Yamato, which appears in the latest installment of the remake series of the popular anime "Space Battleship Yamato," "Yamato Forever REBEL 3199," titled "1/1000 Space Battleship Yamato 3199 (Third Remodel Type: Participation Medal Award Ceremony Commemorative Paint)" (Bandai Spirits) was exhibited at the "62nd All Japan Model Hobby Show," a model exhibition being held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo). The diorama recreates the teaser visual for Chapter 2, "Red Sun's Sortie," drawn by Kia Asamiya.
The plastic model recreates the anchor mark on the bow with a convex mold. The detailed modeling and water-transfer decals allow you to recreate the participation medal award ceremony commemorative paint. The distinctive deck color is expressed by dividing the parts and using some decals. Two aircraft are included: Cosmo Tiger II (single-seat) and Cosmo Tiger II (three-seat). You can also make it into the "2205 version" by selecting the parts and decals. It will go on sale in November for 6,050 yen.
The 62nd All Japan Model & Hobby Show will be held on October 11th, for professional visitors, and open to the public on the 12th and 13th. Tickets are 1,200 yen on the day, and 1,000 yen in advance. Free for junior high school students and younger.
