Weekend movie attendance rankings announced

According to the movie attendance rankings for August 1-3 (surveyed by Kogyo Tsushinsha) released on August 4, the new film adaptation of the popular anime " Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Yaiba" series, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1: Akaza Returns" (directed by Haruo Tonozaki), based on the popular manga by Koyoharu Gotouge , topped the box office for the third consecutive week. In the three days since its release on August 1, it attracted approximately 675,000 viewers and grossed approximately ¥911 million, making it the highest opening performance for a live-action film released this year. "National Treasure" (directed by Lee Sang-il), in its ninth week of release, came in third, attracting approximately 309,000 viewers over the three-day weekend and grossing approximately 441 million yen. Cumulative totals have reached 6.04 million viewers and over 8.5 billion yen in box office revenue. "F1" (directed by Joseph Kosinski), in its sixth week of release, rose two places from the previous week to eighth place, attracting a cumulative total of 1.08 million viewers and grossing 1.8 billion yen.
