The 26th episode of the second season of "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story," a new TV anime based on the popular manga by Watsuki Nobuhiro, titled "On the Meiji Tokaido Road," titled "Kyoto Disturbance," will air on Fuji TV's late-night anime slot "Noitamina" and elsewhere from October 10th.
Megumi, who is left alone in Tokyo, encounters Soji at the Kamiya Dojo, who has come to fight Kenshin again. Soji asks Megumi where Kenshin is. When Megumi tries to deny it, Soji threatens, saying, "I'll kill you if you don't answer," but at that moment, a man appears. Meanwhile, on his way to Kyoto, Kenshin meets a girl in the forests of Mount Hakone.
"Rurouni Kenshin" is a popular manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1994 to 1999. The story follows Himura Kenshin, who was feared as a Battousai assassin during the late Edo period, as he seeks a new way of life in the new era after the Meiji Restoration as a wanderer who has sworn not to kill again. The new chapter, "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story Hokkaido Arc," has been serialized in the monthly manga magazine Jump SQ. (Square) since 2017. The new anime will be fully supervised by the original author Watsuki, from character design to the scenario, and will reconstruct the original work from the first episode onwards. The first season aired from July to December 2023.
