The official trailer for "Nintama Rantaro the Movie :The Dokutake Ninja Team's Strongest Strategist", the new theatrical version of the popular anime series Nintama Rantaro, has been released on YouTube, revealing the true identity of Amaoki, a mysterious man who looks just like Doi-sensei, also known as Doi Hansuke. The video begins with the sixth-year students of the Ninja Academy being attacked by Amaoki, the strategist of the Dokutake Ninja Corps, and during the battle, the shocking truth is revealed that Amaoki's true identity is Doi-sensei. Scenes of the Nintama students burning with desire to rescue Doi-sensei and Kirimaru tremblingly trying to squeeze out the words to Doi-sensei are also shown.
The trailer also includes the theme song "Arigato Kokoro ni" (Thank You From the Heart), sung by the popular group Naniwa Danshi. The main visual featuring the Ninja Academy classmates and Amaoki has also been released.
Character visuals for Hieda Happousai, Zadotaka Konnamon, and Moroizumi Sonnamon have also been released. The voice actors for each character provided comments, and Mamiya Yasuhiro, who plays Hieda Happousai, said, "Hahaha! I'm Hieda Happousai, the leader of the Dokutake Ninja Corps. I'm the main character in this movie, the first in 13 years! It's a movie where I sing, dance, fight, and do great things! What, Fuuki? No? "Dokutake Ninja Corps Strongest Strategist" is the first animated film of "Nintama Rantaro" in about 13 years since "Nintama Rantaro the Movie: Ninjutsu Academy All Out! No Dan" was released in 2011. It is the first film adaptation of the novel "Novel: Failed Ninja Rantaro: Dokutake Ninja Corps Strongest Strategist" based on the original manga "Failed Ninja Rantaro" by Amako Soubei. After facing a duel challenged by Tasogaredoki ninja Morozumi Sonnamon, Doi-sensei disappears, and while Yamada-sensei and the sixth graders of Ninjutsu Academy search for Doi-sensei, a white darkness creeps into the school... This is the story.
The director is Fujimori Masaya, who worked on the previous film, and it will be produced by Asiado, just like the TV series. The screenplay will be written by Sakaguchi Kazuhisa, who is the screenwriter for the TV series and the author of the original novel. It will be released on December 20th.
"Nintama Rantaro" is based on Amako's manga "Rantaro the Failed Ninja." It is a slapstick comedy about a group of aspiring ninjas who enroll in a ninja academy with the goal of becoming top ninjas. The original story began serialization in the Asahi Elementary School Newspaper in April 1986. It came to an end in October 2019 after 33 years of serialization. The TV anime began airing in 1993. The 32nd series is currently airing on NHK Educational TV every Monday to Friday from 6:50 pm.
