Beyblade：TV anime "BEYBLADE X" to begin new chapter on October 18th, with L'Arc~en~Ciel's first new song in three years as opening theme and Perfume as ending theme

It has been announced that the TV anime for "BEYBLADE X," a new addition to Takara Tomy's Beyblade toy line, a modern take on spinning tops, will enter a new chapter on October 18th. New theme song artists have also been announced, with rock band L'Arc~en~Ciel performing the opening theme "YOU GOTTA RUN" and three-member unit Perfume performing the ending theme "Cosmic Treat."

The opening song "YOU GOTTA RUN" is L'Arc~en~Ciel's first new song in about three years, and the band commented, "We think we've created a wonderful song that is worthy of the worldview of 'BEYBLADE X.' Please be sure to watch it along with the anime's opening video."

The ending song "Cosmic Treat" will be included on Perfume's latest album "Nebula Romance Zenpen," which will mark the 25th anniversary of their formation and 20th anniversary of their major debut this September. The unit commented, "We are very happy that they chose us to perform the ending theme for 'BEYBLADE X'! When my younger brother, who was a kid at the forefront of the local hardcore Beyblade fans, heard this story and was overjoyed! (laughs). It seems like we were able to show our gratitude to our brother and sisters are so proud! 'Cosmic Treat' is a fast-paced song that is perfect for battles. We hope you enjoy it along with the world of 'BEYBLADE X'♪."

The key visual for the new chapter was also released, featuring Ex, Bird, and Multi with the illuminated X Tower behind them, as well as new characters holding swords.

'BEYBLADE X' is about Beyblade evolving into a sport. The anime depicts a world where Beyblade has become a professional sport. It airs every Friday from 6:25 pm on TV Tokyo.
