It was revealed on Getsuku that the average weekly viewership rating ( Asadora) for the 23rd week of the NHK morning drama series "Bakebake " (NHK General, Monday-Saturday 8:00 AM, etc.), starring Akari Takaishi , titled "Gobusata, Nishikoori-san." (March 9-13), was 14.7% (calculated from Video Research data, Kanto region).
" Bakebake" is the 113th Asadora . Based on the lives of Lafcadio Hearn Yakumo Koizumi and his wife Setsu, it is a story of a married couple, where the heroine, who loves ghost stories, lives an ordinary life with her foreign husband. Takashi plays the main character, Toki Matsuno, and Tommy Bastow plays Toki's husband, Lefkada Heaven.
In week 23, Toki (Takaishi) and Heaven (Tommy Bastow) have a son, Kanta.
Heaven is more smitten with Kanta than Tsukasanosuke(Takashi Okabe) and Fumi (Chizuru Ikewaki), who are overjoyed at the birth of their first grandchild. Joe (Rairin Sugita), Masaki (Yukito Hidaka), and Kuma (Towa Natsume) are all wide-eyed at her doting affection. One day, in order to file Kanta's birth certificate, they decide on Toki and Heaven's nationality.
The family travels to Matsue for the first time in a long while to complete the necessary procedures. For Heaven to become a Japanese citizen, he must be recognized by the governor (Shiro Sano). To that end, he tries to enlist the help of Nishikori (Ryo Yoshizawa), but Nishikori refuses when they meet again.
Eventually, Toki, Heaven, and Kanta choose to become members of the Ushimizu family, and Heaven's Japanese name is decided to be "Yakumo," a name suggested by Kan'emon (Fumiyo Kohinata). Meanwhile, Heaven, now a Japanese person named "Yakumo," becomes bewildered when he realizes that he "feels nothing" towards the scenery and sounds of Matsue.
Nishikori confronts Heaven with the reason why she "can no longer feel anything." Heaven is indignant at his words. She picks up her pen with single-minded determination, believing that even if she becomes Japanese, she "can still write." Then, in front of Toki, Nishikori reveals the true meaning of his actions, saying that he "instigated" it as his "final job" as a literary assistant...and the story unfolds from there.
