The eighth episode of the TBS Sunday drama "Reboot," starring actor Ryohei Suzuki, aired on March 15th and recorded an average viewership rating of 10.3% for households and 6.5% for individuals (according to Video Research, Kanto region).
The drama is an original work that popular screenwriter Tsutomu Kuroiwa spent three years developing. It's a suspense story about Hayase Riku, a kind-hearted pastry chef falsely accused of murdering his wife, who abandons his beloved family and past to become a corrupt police detective, Gido Ayumu, in order to prove his innocence and find the real killer. Suzuki plays both the good-for-nothing pastry chef and the corrupt detective, skillfully portraying both good and evil roles.
Episode 8 was broadcast under the title "The Truth."
The truth behind the wife's murder is revealed, along with the protagonist's resolve to sacrifice his own life for his family.
