It has been announced that singer-songwriter TOMOO will be performing the theme song, " Crayon Shin-chan Nattara" (When I Grow Up), for the latest film in the popular anime series " Crayon Shin-chan -chan," the 33rd installment, titled "Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Kikaikai! Ora no Yokai Vacation." The official trailer featuring the theme song has been released on YouTube.
TOMOO commented with delight, "When it comes to ' Crayon Shin-chan,' it's a show I loved and watched every week on TV when I was a child. I used to fight with my younger brother a lot back then, but my mother told me that we would laugh out loud together in front of the TV whenever Shin-chan started. I have so many memories of ' Crayon Shin-chan,' so I was really surprised and happy to be asked to write the theme song for this film." Regarding the theme song "When I Grow Up," which she wrote specifically for this film, she said, "It was shaped by the story, scenery, and words of the characters in the film, and I think it was created by stirring up feelings I've always had somewhere inside me—a desire to believe in the excitement, nostalgia, and the important presences and memories that are close by even if you can't see them."
In the newly released trailer, the fox yokai Yako says, "In this country, there is a rule that if a yokai wanders in, they will have their butt ball removed and be turned into a yokai." As a result, Misae and Hiroshi, who are accidentally discovered by the yokai security force in the land of yokai, have their pink butt-shaped "butt balls" removed and are transformed into yokai. In order to retrieve their butt balls, Shinnosuke and the Nohara family, along with yokai who lend them a hand, including Yako, Mameta, Karazou, and Pinko, set out on a journey to Nanka Yokai Castle, where the butt balls are said to be collected. Hyakuemon, the leader of the Kumada clan who reigns supreme in the land of yokai, also makes an appearance, declaring, "The time has come."
As Shinnosuke and his friends deepen their interactions with yokai during their adventure, Yako is also depicted struggling with the idea of befriending humans, thinking, "We're yokai. How can we play with humans?" Meanwhile, a large number of yokai appear all over Japan, targeting people's buttocks.
A poster visual has also been released showing Shinnosuke brandishing a feather fan, creating a huge gust of wind. In addition to Misae, Hiroshi, Shiro, and Himawari in their yokai forms, the poster also depicts other yokai such as Yako, Mameta, Karazou, and Pinko. The characters are swept up in a strong wind, creating an energetic visual that hints at the great commotion that is about to unfold. The poster is accompanied by the tagline, "I will never give up!!"
The latest film, "Kikikaikai! Ora no Yokai Vacation," follows the Nohara family as they stumble into the land of yokai (supernatural beings) and embark on an unpredictable adventure.
