It has been announced that Fukuda Shinichi's manga "Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (Kisekoi)," currently being serialized in "Young Gangan" (Square Enix), will be adapted into a live-action drama. The popular work has also been adapted into a TV anime, with Nagase Riko playing Kitagawa Marin, a gal who actually loves cosplay, and Nomura Kota playing Gojo Niina, a shy high school boy who is Marin's classmate. This will be Nomura's first time starring in a drama. It will start on the night of October 8th on MBS/TBS's "Dramaism." MBS will air every Tuesday at 12:59 a.m., and TBS at 1:28 a.m. Kitagawa Marin, played by Nagase, is a beautiful girl with an open personality who also works as a reader model. In fact, she loves anime, games, and manga, and wanted to cosplay as her favorite character, so she made her own costume, but she was too clumsy and it didn't work out very well. He comes across Niina making a costume for a Hina doll in the clothing lab and asks her to make a cosplay costume for him. Through their cosplay activities, he deepens his relationship with Niina.

Nagase commented, "When I first read the original work, I thought that Niina's straightforwardness and Marin's charm were impressive. When I met the director, he told me that he wanted to cherish the distance between the two characters. At first glance, they seem to be complete opposites, but they have something in common, so I would like to carefully portray how these two characters change through cosplay. Marin may look flashy, but she is also delicate at heart, so I would like to enjoy filming her. Her cosplay hair, makeup and costumes are also very glamorous, so please look forward to the broadcast!"

Gojo Niina, played by Nomura, is a high school boy who lives with his grandfather, a Hina doll craftsman, and aims to become a craftsman who makes faces for Hina dolls. He makes Hina dolls as a hobby and practice, and is good at sewing. Having been rejected for his own hobbies in the past, he is not good at asserting himself. Since elementary school, she has been so absorbed in Hina dolls that she has no friends and is unable to fit in with her classmates.

Nomura said, "In the original work, Marin is carefree, cheerful, and has a strong sense of self, while Niina is shy but earnest, innocent, and works hard. Although they have different personalities, they are completely devoted to the things they love. The innocent and pure exchanges between these two characters were so cute and funny that it made my heart flutter. I was also able to feel once again the importance of admitting that you like the things you like. I hope that the drama "Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru" will be a wonderful work for everyone, so I hope you will be kind enough to watch it!"

"Kise Koi" has been serialized in the same magazine since 2018. It is a romantic comedy that depicts the love between Gojo Niina, a high school boy who is training to become a head maker who makes faces for Hina dolls, and Kitagawa Marin, a gyaru cosplayer who loves anime and games. The comics have been published up to volume 13, with a total circulation of over 11 million copies. A TV anime series will air from January to March 2022, and it has also been announced that a sequel is in the works.
